Can you believe 2023 is upon us? Once again, 2022 has been a year of learning and growth for all of us, both personally and professionally. While we have all faced the headwinds of the market and inflation, we remain committed to helping you stay the course. Civil rights activist and American historian Bertha Calloway said, “We can’t control the winds, but we can adjust our sails.” Sailing vessels cannot move directly into the wind though they may desire to move in that direction. A series of tacking moves in a zig-zag fashion allows the vessel to get to the destination. It’s important that we pay attention to where we are, where we want to go and make adjustments as needed along the way. Ultimately, we reach the destination. We are grateful that you chose to join us on the journey!
In 2022 one of our goals was to take advantage of the new tools and technology to better serve you. As a result, we added a team member, expanded the services that we are able to provide and updated our portfolios to include additional types of investments as appropriate. Hundreds of guests attended the 18 webinars that were presented this year. If you were able to join us, thank you and we look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming online sessions. We plan to offer additional times and topics in 2023 and would welcome your input.
This year we also completed a website overhaul with you in mind, making it easier to read and navigate the site. You will find a new blog, tax resources, and a “Helpful Links” page that includes trusted links to help protect yourself online. Monthly emails with helpful topics and callouts for new blog entries have been sent, so if you have not been receiving them please send your current email address to us at team@lumenafinancial.com so you won’t be left out.
While none of us can predict the future, most of us can agree that change is one of the only constants in life. Our goal is to remain flexible and current as the landscape changes and to be a solid anchor for you along the way. We look forward to expanding our office again in 2023 and are excited about some new programs that will be launched in the first half of the year (more to come)!
