"Understanding Estate Planning & Living Trusts" featuring Craig S. Lambourne, Esq., Attorney at Law, Ewin Lambourne Law, APC

Wednesday, March 10, 2021 4:00 PM, Pacific Daylight Time

Who needs to do estate planning? The answer is, EVERYONE! Effective estate management enables you to manage your affairs during your lifetime and control the distribution of your wealth after death. An effective estate strategy can spell out your healthcare wishes and ensure that they're carried out – even if you are unable to communicate. It can even designate someone to manage your financial affairs should you be unable to do so. Having an estate plan is among the most important things you can do for your loved ones. It is, however, a task many of us dread and put off dealing with until later in life. It is never too early to start planning, but it can be too late.

Craig Lambourne was raised in Boulder County Colorado. He attended Colorado State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Thereafter, he moved to San Diego to pursue a career in law.

Craig has worked exclusively in the area of estate planning, trust and probate law since 2009. Craig is certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law. Craig serves as a court appointed attorney for the San Diego Superior Court handling a variety of different proceedings, including: guardianships, conservatorships, and dementia-related matters.

At Ewin Lambourne Law, Craig advises individuals and families in all aspects of estate and business planning and administration. He designs, drafts, and implements comprehensive estate plans that provide clients peace of mind knowing that their legacy and loved ones will always be protected.

Have you ever heard of brain drain? Just like the body requires consistent physical training to stay strong and perform at its best, the brain must also be exercised to remain in top shape. We can change the way we multitask and manage stress, but time marches on and we are all getting older.

In this presentation, Ms. Troxell will share ideas on how to enact habits that promote healthy brain function. She will begin by going over the basics of brain and physical health, and help you assess your current state with a short survey. You'll experience flexibility training in action and will learn how to design your own training plan to build cognitive fitness.

“Speaking of Markets - You can’t predict the future, but you can prepare for it” presented by Katrina Jacobs, Vice President, Regional Investment Consultant, T. Rowe Price Investment Services, Inc.

Wednesday, October 14, 2020 4:00 PM, Pacific Daylight Time

We are living in unprecedented times...or are we? We have a pattern of always thinking “this time it’s different” – but the world has been "different" many times in the past. When a crisis happens, there is a natural impulse to act, however, immediate action may not always be the best response.

Many people are spending more time listening to the news, which by definition, is focused on what is happening right now, rather than putting things into perspective. Reflecting on what is most concerning to you can help you determine an appropriate response. In this presentation, we will spend some time taking a step back from the headlines and will share a few ideas about how to manage to the other side.

Katrina Jacobs, Vice President and Regional Investment Consultant with T. Rowe Price Investment Services, Inc. holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. Katrina joined T. Rowe Price in 2016. Prior to her current role, she served as a Regional Vice President with Guggenheim Investments and has 12 years in the financial industry.

Coronavirus has upended the traditional cadence of an American presidential election year. 2020 is still an election year, however, and the campaigns will go on. While the election will have a momentous impact on the country, we caution investors from
drawing too many links to the world of investing.

Politics and investing are often spoken about in the same breath. But does the data support this link?

In this presentation, "10 Truths No Matter Who Wins the 2020 Election" we will hear from Eric Bowcock, Vice President, Senior Advisor Consultant at Invesco. Eric is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, and has been with Invesco (previously Oppenheimer Funds) since 2013.

"How Your Brain Can Keep You from Making Wise Financial Decisions" presented by P. Alison Fleming, CFP®, President, Lumena Financial Strategies, Inc.

Wednesday, September 23, 2020 4:00 pm, Pacific Daylight Time

Everyone deserves the opportunity to build a secure and comfortable retirement. However, it turns out that it’s actually a pretty tough thing to do. It seems our mind keeps getting in the way. How so, you ask? Five “mental roadblocks” — or cognitive processes — make retirement savings decisions rather challenging. In other words, five impediments essentially serve to make many of us our own worst financial advisor.

But what if you better understood these mental roadblocks? What would you be able to do with this new knowledge? More to the present, where would you even begin? Prepare for an engaging, interactive — even humorous — discussion about your brain and how it can manipulate the way you make financial decisions.

Alison Fleming, President of Lumena Financial Strategies is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional with over 31 years of experience with Waddell & Reed. She holds a bachelor's degree in Speech Communication with an emphasis in Interpersonal/Organizational Communication. Alison is committed to understanding how and why decisions are made so that she can best serve clients and guide them through the process of making thoughtful financial choices.
